MIRIS is a perfume made of 100% natural ingredients

MIRIS is a boutique fragrance line, crafted with exquisite and precious essential oils, luxurious absolutes, rare resins, and pure plant extracts. Unlike traditional perfumes that evoke The Name of the Rose, each drop of MIRIS captures the richness of barrels of real flowers, distilled into an extraordinary essence. Yet, MIRIS is made for ordinary people - because everyone deserves a natural, high-quality fragrance

The Words and Scents

Natural fragrances are worlds apart from perfumes made with aroma chemicals. At first, they might seem unfamiliar. But once you get used to them, they’re utterly addictive. Each moment is rich as the last, creating a lingering intimacy you can’t help but love. These fragrances stay close to the skin, noticeable in a hug or softly lingering after a kiss.

I’m captivated by the rich complexity of the materials I work with. Each plant is like a perfume in its own right, offering layers of depth and personality. I especially love their tangy, bitter sides, those raw notes that whisper of authenticity. They remind me that my creations aren’t curated for a “perfume Instagram” but are living, breathing fragrances full of life and truth.

I approach my craft with love - love for exploring, experimenting, and taking the time to get it just right.

MIRIS is Croatian word for scent. And yes, two is better than one, especially when it helps avoid occupied domains.

I started because of a misunderstanding. All the perfume descriptions listed plants that grew in my mother’s garden: Atlas cedar, lavender, jasmine, rose, orange blossom, mandarin, sage, thyme, and more. I assumed these names referred to the actual ingredients. It wasn’t until when I started that I realized they were simply descriptions of the aromas, not the plants themselves, just words.

That innocent misconception is where my journey began. I started by gathering essential oils and distilling plants from my mother’s garden, as well as those of friends. Of course, I also enrolled in a course at the Academy of Natural Perfumery, then dedicated years to honing my craft.

And still, I believe, as Shakespeare said: “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” ;-)
